	<title>Dessert Recipes</title>

We'll start out with some great chocolate dessert recipes (that are fun, too) then we'll move to some that aren't chocolate, and a couple that are even somewhat healthy.

Chocolate Dessert Recipes

Judies
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cocoa
1 stick margarine or butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
Dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick oats

1. Put sugar, milk, cocoa and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
2. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, salt, vanilla and oats.
3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or pour in a 9x13 pan and cut into squares.

Peanut Butter Cup Brownies
1 box brownie mix
10 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

1. Bake brownies according to package instructions.
2. Put unwrapped peanut butter cups in a bowl and melt them in the microwave or in a double boiler. (If using a microwave, start out by microwaving them for 30 seconds, then stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds, until melted.)
3. Spread the melted peanut butter cups over the brownie.


Peanutty Brownie Pizza
1 package fudge brownie mix (plus ingredients to make brownies)
1 8-oz.package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 packages (1.6 oz each) peanut butter cup candy, chopped
1/4 c. peanuts, chopped
2 bananas, sliced
2 Tablespoon (1 oz) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1. Preheat oven to 375. Cut a circle of parchment paper to fit a pizza pan and place it on the pizza pan. 
2. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. 
3. Pour brownie batter onto parchment, spreading evenly into a 13" circle. 
4. Bake 15-18 minutes or until brownie is set. (Do not overbake.) 
5. Cool completely. 
6. Mix cream cheese, brown sugar and peanut butter until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over brownie to within 1/2" of edge. 
7.  Chop candy and peanuts and sprinkle over cream cheese mixture. 
8. Arrange bananas over brownie. 
9. Microwave chocolate with oil, uncovered, on high for 1 1/2 minutes or until chocolate is melted, stirring after 1 minute. Drizzle over pizza. 

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup melted butter, cooled to room temp
12 oz. package chocolate chips (it's okay to use a 6-oz. package instead)
1 prepared pie crust

1. Beat eggs until foamy.
2. Add flour, sugar and brown sugar. Mix well.
3. Blend in melted butter, then add chocolate chips.
4. Pour into pie shell
5. Bake at 325 until set (about an hour).
6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream (if desired).

Non-Chocolate Dessert Recipes
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Squares
2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls
2 8-oz. packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1.2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1. Spread one package of the crescent roll dough in bottom of greased 9x13 pan to form bottom crust. 
2. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, egg yolk and vanilla until smooth. Spread mixture over bottom crust.
3. Place second package of rolls over cream cheese mixture to form top crust. 
4. beat egg white until frothy and spread over top crust.
5. Mix cinnamon, 1/2 cup sugar and nuts together in a small bowl; sprinkle over top crust.
6. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. 
7. When cool, cut into squares. 

Here are a couple of dessert recipes using a one-step angel food cake recipe. Since angel food cake is naturally low in fat, these dessert recipes are even somewhat healthy!

Cherry Angel Food Cake
1 box of of One-Step Angel Food Cake Mix
1 can of Cherry Pie Filling

1. Combine dry cake mix with cherry pie filling in a large mixing bowl.
2. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer.
3. Pour into ungreased Angel Food Cake pan and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake
1 box of of One-Step Angel Food Cake Mix
1 20-oz. can of crushed pineapple, undrained

1. Combine dry cake mix with pineapple (juice and all) in a large mixing bowl.
2. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer.
3. Pour into ungreased Angel Food Cake pan or a 9x13 cake pan and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

This is good served with a dollop of whipped cream. Yum!
