Chocolate Dessert Recipe

When we think of a chocolate dessert recipe we often think of Nestle. They have provided the ultimate chocolate in the form of ready to eat treats and baking essentials for many years. Any discriminating cook will tell you that Nestle products provide the saving grace to their holiday baking needs.

Around the holidays, we often look to baking to complete the festive season. If you are a chocoholic (or know someone who is), there is no better way to quench a chocolate fix than with the following chocolate dessert recipe. It's as easy as 1...2...3 and provides the chocolate punch necessary to get you going. So, why not give Chocolatey Ice Cream Baskets a whirl? They are the ultimate chocolate dessert recipe and only take 40 minutes to prepare. They serve 8 people (or 4 extreme chocolate lovers)

Chocolatey Ice Cream Baskets
Filling Ingredients

	1 Pint of Heavy Cream
1 Can of Nestle Sweetened Condensed Milk
	8-ounces of Nestle Cooking Chocolate
1-Cup of Nestle Chocolate Cooking Bits

Basket Ingredients

1/4 cup of Light Corn Syrup
	3 Tablespoons of Butter
	1/3 cup of Brown Sugar
	1/2 cup of Plain Flour

Begin by preparing the filling. Melt the 8-ounces of cooking chocolate and put it to the side to cool. Beat the heavy cream, condensed milk and cooled melted chocolate together until thick. Fold in the Chocolate bits. Spoon the final mixture into a cake pan and freeze.

To prepare the baskets, begin by preheating the over to 200 degrees. Next, place the corn syrup, butter and brown sugar in a pan and stir together over low heat. When the butter has melted and the other ingredients have been incorporated into the mix, remove from the heat and stir in the flour. Spread heaping teaspoons of this mixture onto a cookie sheet (only 3 to a sheet). Bake for 5 minutes until golden and then cool for 1 minute. Transfer the cooled mixture to a greased upturned bowl or dish. Allow them to cool further.

When the filling mixture is completely frozen and the baskets have completely cooled. Take an ice cream scoop and fill each of the baskets with the mixture. This is a chocolate dessert recipe that will have your guests talking for hours. Not only does it look elegant with the presentation of the edible baskets, but, the rich chocolatey filling will be a great way to keep them coming back for more.

Good luck with your holiday baking. Remember, a chocolate dessert recipe can cap off a special holiday event.
