Chocolate Birthday Gifts

Do you know what the latest trend in birthday gift giving is? Why, it's chocolate birthday gifts of course!

Chocolate's Not Just for Kids
Yes, kids love chocolate. And adults love chocolate too. But kids will likely be disappointed if chocolate birthday gifts are the only birthday gifts they get. They'll want the latest and greatest toys or video games. Weren't we all like that as kids? But as adults we try to practice restraint when it comes to all things good....like chocolate, for instance. After all, even though recent studies have shown that eating 3 ounces of dark chocolate a day can lower blood pressure, we have to remember to enjoy it in moderation.

Okay, back to the subject of this page--chocolate birthday gifts. Our point is that adults will appreciate chocolate birthday gifts more than kids. Kids might even expect chocolate on their birthday--in the form of cake or cupcakes. Is that so unusual? After all, we all hope that someone remembers to at least give us a birthday cake on our birthdays. If it's chocolate, all the better. But some people go so far as to give chocolate birthday gifts like chocolate gift baskets, chocolate roses, a box of assorted chocolates, chocolate-dipped strawberries....there are even chocolate birthday cards (with built-in holders for candles)! In fact, you can get one on chocolate.com that comes with six chocolate-dipped strawberries. Such a neat idea!

Let's say you found the perfect birthday gift and it doesn't involve chocolate. Cool. But if the person is a chocolate lover, why not buy a Godiva chocolate bar and attach it to the package instead of a bow? Of course, if you go the route of a box of assorted chocolates, chances are the birthday boy or girl will share!
